South Padre Island KOA Holiday is a well-maintained, amenity-rich park in a convenient location near the bridge, public beach access and local dining. Guests praise the friendly staff, clean bathrooms and laundry, concrete pads, pool and family activities, plus options for cabins and RV sites. Tradeoffs include generally compact, gravel sites that can be tight for large rigs (several reviewers noted problems fitting big rigs in certain sites), occasional complaints about site debris on arrival, and reported summer power outages when the park is full. Overall, it’s a comfortable, convenient option if you can accept tighter sites and occasional infrastructure issues.
