Scaroon Manor is a NY State campground. It is the newest NY state campground. It is handicapped accessible. The property was once a resort and NY State took it over demolished all the buildings but left the amphitheater. It is right on Schroon Lake although there are no sites directly on the lake. There are many nice sites to choose from depending if you want sun or a shady spot. The waterfront is beautiful and you can rent kayaks which we did. The bathrooms are spotless the grounds are beautiful. It is not to far from the town of Schroon Lake which is a small Adirondack town. I highly recommend going to the Paradox Brewery and Sticks and Stones.
