This campground is just north of the town of Schroon Lake, NY. It is located directly on Paradox Lake. It is not marked very well so make sure you are on the lookout for it when you are on the state route. It is not only close to Schroon Lake but it is also in close Proximity to Fort Ticonderoga as well as Lake Champlain and Vermont. I was in site 48 which is directly overlooking the lake. From this site it is a short walk downhill to the lake. The site is small but it has plenty of undergrowth to seprate the next sites and give you privacy. I have a van and I backed it in I would not have any larger RV than that in this site. I also felt since it is in such close proximity to the boat launch it was very loud at 5am when people took there boats out. The facilities are a little dated but over all the campground is fine. Not sure I would go back or not I would definately choose a site like site 43. It has a lot of privacy it is not that close to the lake though but it is a large site.

What campers say
Paradox Pond Campground offers a scenic, peaceful setting on a clear lake ideal for boating, kayaking, fishing and wildlife watching (loons). Sites are generally large, flat and tent‑friendly with fire rings and grills; many visitors praise friendly, attentive staff and recent upgrades to showers. Practical tradeoffs: some bathhouses still show inconsistent maintenance (missing soap/toilet paper or peeling paint at times), and the secluded layout appeals to those wanting quiet but can feel isolated after dark; a few guests report occasional noisy neighbors before quiet hours. Close access to nearby swimming and shops adds convenience.
