Very convenient to the whole of San Diego Bay this is a very nice KOA. Cement pads with very professional staff and clean facilities overall. Being from the LA area we found the light San Diego traffic to be a plus allowing us to get from point A to B without too much hassle. Close by bike paths connect to the Bay Front trail. Ample shopping in the area.

San Diego Metro KOA Resort is a clean, well-maintained park with resort-style amenities, a large pool and hot tubs, jumping pillows, kids' activities, bike rentals and planned events, and friendly, helpful staff. RV sites are spacious and cabins are equipped for family stays, though occasional appliance hiccups are reported. Tradeoffs: the campground can be crowded and noisy (kids, electric bikes and late-night activity), with early-morning maintenance noise; tent sites near sprinklers and freeway can be less private. Some campers report localized bird droppings and mixed cafe food quality. Good choice for families wanting activities; less so for quiet, back-to-nature camping.

Access to the multi-use trail that takes you down to the bay or up into the valley for exercise and adventure. The park is well kept with family friendly amenities including gameroom, pool/ spa, playground, bounce pillow and grassy areas for play. Onsite RV storage facility allows locals to keep their RV within easy reach.
