Small, rustic campground near Decorah and trout streams. Owners are consistently described as welcoming and helpful; many guests appreciate the quiet, large sites, wildlife and dark skies, and an informal daily happy hour where regulars gather. Facilities are basic — showers and restrooms are clean though somewhat dated — and some sites offer electric and internet. Practical tradeoffs: there’s no on-site trash pickup or dump station, and a number of long-term seasonal campers create a close-knit vibe that some visitors found off-putting.
