Not all the park has hookups. Many are "dry" spots. When reserving, be careful!

What campers say
Salt Creek Recreation Area offers striking PNW coastline where forested bluffs meet rocky tide flats and a sandy creek mouth. Visitors praise abundant tide pools and wildlife (invertebrates, shore birds, occasional sea otters), varied trails and WWII bunkers, and many campsites with ocean views, restrooms, and a playground. Parking is ample with lower lots for easier beach access, and day use is often free in winter. Practical tradeoffs: reaching the rock fingers requires stairs and uneven footing— not ideal for very young children, flip-flops, or those with balance issues— and the best tide-pooling experience depends on low-tide timing.
