River Forks Park offers mostly waterfront campsites and broad lake views, with a large beach, swimming area, fishing and easy kayak/paddle access. Grounds and facilities are generally well maintained—clean restrooms, hot showers, concrete pads and friendly staff—and there are plentiful day‑use amenities, pavilions and trails. Wildlife (especially deer) is common. Practical tradeoffs: many sites are back‑in, narrow or angled and some sites lack sewer hookups (there’s a dump station by the office); some noted ants, occasional uncut grass or debris and driveway wear in spots. Overall a convenient, scenic park close to services.
