Rainbow Point Campground is a quiet, remote option about 20 minutes from Yellowstone’s west entrance with large, level sites that can accommodate big RVs. Several loops offer electrical hookups (20–50 amp), water spigots are available but use non-threaded faucets, and there are fire rings, tables and bear boxes. Expect a rough, washboard gravel access road and slow drives in and out. There is no on-site dump station or showers, and reports on toilet cleanliness are mixed. Hosts are generally helpful. The nearby pond and river offer fishing, though occasional algae advisories have been noted.
