📖 About This Campground
Opened Aug 27, 2026 — first new campground on the island in decades. Six tent-only sites, 4 people each (24 total), $15/night, Recreation.gov only, no walk-ups, max 2 sites per group, open year-round. Picnic table, tent pad, food box per site; vault toilets with one accessible toilet and one accessible site. No water at all. No fires, no pets, no vehicle or RV access. Boat-in only via Island Packers from Ventura (~1.5 hr), then a 0.3-mile walk from the pier.
