Campsites are well maintained, many streamside or level tent sites, with clean vault bathrooms and potable water but no showers. The park offers miles of dirt/gravel roads, hiking and biking trails, a pedestrian tunnel/rail-trail link, and easy access to Penns Creek for trout fishing and tubing; Poe Valley Lake is nearby for swimming and kayaking. Expect limited to no cell service and to bring supplies. Some access roads can be rough or washed-out; a higher-clearance vehicle is helpful.
