What campers say
Peralta Regional Park offers striking desert views, well-marked hiking and equestrian trails of varied difficulty, and a tidy campground with tent-focused sites and limited vehicle parking. Facilities include restrooms (no potable water on site), picnic ramadas and shaded spots. Reservations and online payment are required for camping; note that day-use and camping fees are separate. Trails are excellent for hiking, trail running and horses but less suited to technical mountain biking, and some routes show erosion after storms. Overall it’s a clean, quiet park with strong trail options—bring water and plan for modest, rustic camping amenities.
