Parker Dam State Park offers a compact, well-maintained camping area with roomy, electric cabins (some with kitchen appliances, porch and fire features), a sandy swimming beach, boat and kayak/paddleboat rentals, picnic shelters, playgrounds and many hiking trails. Facilities include clean restrooms with showers and a snack/concession stand. The setting is quiet, good for stargazing, fishing and wildlife viewing, and parts of the site are dog-friendly (dogs are restricted at the swim beach; there are limited dog sites with electric). Some camp pads are uneven, so RVers should bring leveling blocks.
