The campground is a well-kept, family-friendly stop just off I-70, popular for overnight stays and longer visits. Sites are clean and well laid out, with hookups, tidy bathhouses, laundry, and a small on-site store offering snacks and propane. Grounds feature a swimming pool, a pond with paddle boats and catch-and-release fishing, playgrounds and walking trails. Staff receive frequent praise for being accommodating. Practical tradeoffs: the pool and some services are seasonal, and a nearby train occasionally blows its horn at night. Overall it’s quiet, scenic, and convenient for travelers and families.
