What campers say

Mosquito Lake State Recreation Site is a small, rustic lakeside campground with roughly 6–10 basic sites. Amenities are minimal: picnic tables, fire rings and a small dock are available, but there are no restroom facilities or other services. The setting is quiet and decidedly old-school, making it a convenient place to stop for an overnight or a simple crash pad. Anglers and paddlers have reported decent fishing and use of small kayaks from the shore. Visitors seeking developed campgrounds with full facilities should plan accordingly; this site favors simplicity and lakeside access.
