Middle Lion Campground is a small, scenic site clustered around a creek with direct river access and nearby trailheads. Sites are compact and arranged close together, so privacy and shade vary; some camps sit in full sun much of the day. Facilities are minimal — vault toilet and fire rings but no potable or running water — so pack all water and supplies and pack out trash. The access road is rough and rocky; a high-clearance vehicle is recommended and drivers should proceed slowly. Pets and families commonly visit, but supervise animals around natural water. Fee reported around $20 per vehicle.

Middle Lion Campground in Los Padres National Forest above Ojai is surrounded by chaparral covered mountains, shaded by cottonwood trees and is next to a peaceful stream. Facilities Middle Lion has eight campsites, which are all first-come, first-served. Points of Interest Middle Lion Campground is particularly beautiful in the fall. As the trees change color, you will find yourself surrounded by vibrant yellow hues! If you enjoy hiking there are several trails for you to choose from near the campground.
