We travel in a 35 ft motorhome with a tow vehicle, roads and site easily accommodated our vehicles. We were in a "buddy Site" (RV entry doors face each other) with friends and we had a large area between our rigs. There are trails you can walk out into the desert hills , right from the sites. Up the hill a little way is a hotel and you can use the well equipped fitness center. The campground staff was great, bathrooms were very nice and clean. We didn't use showers but they looked nice (and did not have low volume shower heads.) There were yoga classes three times a week (free) and they brought in entertainment some nights. WiFi was good and we had reception on our Verizon phones. 25 minutes to entrance to Big Bend National Park. 35 Minutes to the Closed Canyon Trail in Big Bend State Park. 15 minutes from the Terlingua Ghost town. We don't currently have mountain bikes, but the mtb bikers at the campground said the local trails were great. Overall a great campground

Maverick Ranch RV Park offers well-maintained sites with sweeping desert views and resort-level amenities — a heated pool with towels, community rooms (TV, games), on-site laundry, dog park, golf access and trails. Staff receive frequent praise for friendliness and onsite assistance, including flexible site changes and shuttle service between pools; daily trash pickup is convenient. It's a good base for exploring Big Bend and surrounding ranch lands, but it's relatively remote compared with some Terlingua options, and a few guests reported intermittent power outages, cleanliness lapses in shared bathrooms, and occasional noisy unsupervised children. Consider site type (pull-through vs back-in) when booking.
