What campers say

Markleeville Campground is a small, quiet riverside site offering a scenic, laid-back experience. A handful of tent- and small truck-camper-sized sites sit close to Markleeville Creek with trout fishing, mixed sun and shade, and good spacing between sites. Amenities are basic: vault/pit toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, and an on-site host; water spigots exist but can be unreliable. Sites are first-come, first-served and may be cash-only, and the campground is not suited to large RVs. Expect limited cell/Wi-Fi and rustic conditions in exchange for peaceful, natural surroundings.
