What campers say

Grover Hot Springs State Park combines accessible hot and cold soaking pools with a network of well-marked hikes to meadows and a waterfall, all set in a beautiful valley. The pools are maintained, supervised by lifeguards, and require advance reservations; booking can be tricky and sessions sometimes reach capacity. The campground offers standard amenities—flush toilets, drinking water, bear boxes, picnic tables and fire rings—and is family-friendly. Practical tradeoffs include light mineral/sediment deposits in the hot pool and campsite/road size limits that may exclude very long RVs. Day-use parking is charged unless you have a CA state parks pass.
