Park Description

Mama Gerties Hideaway Campground in Swannanoa North Carolina is a full hookup RV and tent camping in a wooded setting. Well kept and scenic with a new area offering patio sites with a scenic view overlooking the valley. Paved access roads. The park is built along a hillside and uses the natural terrain to place sites along the hillside. Lower sites are mixed in with large shade trees while upper sites have majestic views looking across the valley. A large office area has recreation and relaxation spaces.

The park is well cared for and one of the premier spots in the Asheville area. Favored by adults versus families the park does not have a pool or playground but is still suitable for families looking to stay in a well cared for spot while touring area attractions.

Care is required when navigating the park as some roads and angles are steep. In addition the park has seaosnal cabins and tent sites (these are tucked away in their own area.
