What campers say

Lower Little Truckee Campground is a small, convenient riverside campground on CA-89 about 10 miles north of I-80. Campsites sit very close together and right next to the road, so traffic (and occasionally aircraft) noise can be noticeable at night. Sites suit tent camping and smaller RVs/trailers; larger rigs may find turns and tight spaces difficult. Facilities are basic but well-maintained, with pit/vault toilets, a water spigot, fire rings, grills and trash service. It’s a handy, less-crowded base for exploring the Truckee/Tahoe area, but expect tradeoffs in privacy and space.
