What campers say

Lakeside Campground sits right on a small lake and is frequently praised for easy water access, fishing, kayaking, swimming and nearby trails. Campsites vary from lakeside spots to more shaded or tightly spaced sites; some feel private while others are close together. Restrooms are reported clean, but potable spigots are unreliable or absent so you should bring your own water. Water level can rise seasonally and flood lower sites. Hosts are generally described as helpful and attentive, though some visitors report problematic behavior or site-reselling. Close to Truckee and Reno, it accommodates tents and trailers and is dog-friendly on leash.
