Lava Point Campground in Zion National Park offers 6 primitive tent and small RV (<19') camping sites. Located off Kolob Terrace Road at the top near the overlook of Zion Canyon. Hiking trails leave from this area. The access road is a graded dirt road (1.5 miles from pavement). A pit toilet is available. Sites are free and on a first come first served basis. Situated in and around a pine forest the elevation affords cool temperatures. Excellent hiking and biking in this area.
