📖 About This Campground
Kolob Reservoir Dispersed Camping above Virgin Utah is a fresh water lake managed by Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. Located at over 8,000 ft the lake is accessible via pavement from Virgin on Kolob Terrace Road or via dirt roads from Cedar City area. The remote location is very scenic. Kolob Terrace is home to many vacation homes and, occasionally, a small store.
Campsites are located around the shores of the lake and near the boat ramp. All are located off dirt roads. Camping is free and available on a first come first served basis. There are pit toilet and trash dumpsters available at select locations around the lake. Excellent fishing is also available.
Note: Kolob Terrace Rd is a steep and winding mountain road. Large RVs are not advised.
