What campers say

Hooks Brook Campground is a secluded, scenic spot primarily reached by water or a substantial hike. It offers basic restrooms but limited services: visitors report no potable well water and no trash pickup, so plan to pack out refuse. Some sites are well kept, but others—especially on the outer edges—show neglect (rotted picnic tables, eroded or high fire rings) and maintenance can be inconsistent. A small campsite fee is collected, and cash is often preferred. Insect activity can be heavy. Quiet hours are generally observed by most campers, though occasional noisy groups have been noted.
