What campers say

Hazlett Hollow Campground offers a quiet, small-site setting with basic sheltered campsites—each typically includes a lean-to or covered area, picnic seating, a fire pit and grill. Visitors praise the seclusion, cleanliness and occasional wheelchair‑accessible spots, and a small lake about a half mile away is handy for fishing. Expect a rough, sometimes washboard road in; high clearance or 4WD (or airing down) is often recommended. Facilities are rustic: stone outhouse restrooms and bear‑proof cans are reported, but water taps may be unreliable and formal maintenance and fees can vary, so check locally.

📖 About This Campground

This is a relatively small, semi-primitive campground in the southern end of the Bradshaw Mountains in the Horsethief Basin Area. Ponderosa pine is the dominant vegetation type in the area. One of the most attractive and well-developed campgrounds in the southern Bradshaws. Most of the walls and walks throughout the campground were built of stone during the 1930s by the Civil Conservation Corp (CCC). This site may close early or open late, depending on snowfall.
