About this campground

Hamburger Rock Campground north of Monticello Utah and southeast of Canyonlands National Park is a BLM campground offering primitive RV and tent camping. Easy access to Indian Creek area. A small fee is charged at this campground with 10 sites available. There are pit toilets. No water or other amenities so come prepared to this location with all your amenities. Most of the sites are situated within and around the picturesque rock formation the area gets its name from. On clear days (ie most of the time) there are majestic views of the surrounding countryside. In addition there is one site not located against the rocks which is suitable for a small RV or trailer. Hamburger Rock Campground sits among striking red-rock formations near Monticello, offering scenic sunset and stargazing views and easy scrambling that’s fun for kids and adults. About ten primitive BLM sites are tucked into alcoves that provide privacy; most sites have a picnic table, fire ring, and there are two vault toilets. It’s first-come, first-served ($15/night with a reduced senior fee) and suits tents, trucks, and vans—large RVs may struggle to level. Expect no hookups, no water or trash service, and limited cell signal, so bring supplies and pack out all waste.
