What campers say
Gold Park Campground is a well-kept, remote site set along Homestead Creek, with many campsites flat, spaced with trees, and pleasant creek sounds. Vault/pit toilets and other facilities are frequently described as exceptionally clean, though there is no potable water and cell service is limited. The access road is dirt/gravel with potholes, so drive slowly; some sites sit closer together while others offer more privacy. The campground is convenient to local trailheads and Leadville. Expect a basic, scenic mountain camping experience with attentive hosts/maintenance, but bring your own water and be prepared for primitive amenities.
