What campers say
This small, rustic campground sits along the Fox River and is popular with anglers and quiet campers. Sites are mostly riverside with picnic tables and room for tents or hammocks; some have firewood, and vault toilets and a hand-pump provide basic water. Trails and short but sometimes steep paths lead down to the river, so anglers should be prepared for uneven access. Expect very few services or family amenities — no playground — and heavy mosquitoes in summer, so bring repellant. It’s well-kept for a remote site and works well for those seeking simple, backcountry river camping.
