Situated in the hill country of Ohio this is a beautiful lake to take the popup camper, larger rigs should plan ahead as there are some windy roads. A bit dated but well cared for this place is great to get away from it all.

What campers say
Forked Run State Park is a quiet, scenic small-lake park with several marked hiking trails, picnic areas, a small sandy beach, a disc golf course and playgrounds. Visitors frequently praise clear water for kayaking and clean shower/restroom facilities. The campground offers cabins and RV sites but many campsites appear to lack electrical hookups. Trails are hilly and in places steep or slippery, so expect rugged terrain and watch for limited accessibility on certain lake-edge segments. The park feels remote and uncrowded, making it a good spot to unwind, though beach access and shoreline cleanliness can be variable.
