Evangola State Park offers a scenic Lake Erie shoreline with striking stone beaches, broad views and memorable sunsets. The park is generally clean and well maintained, with friendly staff, professional lifeguards, picnic shelters, playgrounds and courts for volleyball and basketball. Campsites (including yurts) are roomy and well spaced, though some lack electrical hookups and reservations fill up fast. Practical tradeoffs include a rocky shore that makes water shoes wise, older but tended restrooms, and peak-afternoon crowds. Overall it’s a family-friendly spot for swimming, hiking, biking and lakeside picnics.
