What campers say

Emma Long Metropolitan Park is a pleasant lakeside spot with a small sandy beach, shallow water that’s friendly for young children, and picnic areas shaded by large oaks. The site offers tent and RV camping, nature trails, clean restrooms (and port-a-potties), and regular wildlife sightings. Practical tradeoffs include frequent boat traffic that can create waves, and weekends that may be crowded and occasionally noisy; a parking fee is charged with no re-entry. Visitors may want to bring bug spray, spare toilet paper or wipes, and any preferred grilling gear since amenities can be limited.
