Eagle Creek Campground sits about two miles up a gravel road from Gardiner and offers very close access to Yellowstone’s north entrance. Sites vary in size and levelness—many are small and better suited to tents, vans, or shorter RVs—so research site dimensions before arrival. Amenities are basic: pit toilets, potable water, trash receptacles, and generally clean, well‑maintained grounds. Expect wildlife sightings (elk, beavers, marmots), good stargazing, and scenic mountain views. Downsides reported include a rough, washboarded access road, windy conditions, muddy sites when wet, limited cell reception, and occasional reservation or host-interaction problems.
