the armpit of Wyoming! This "campground" is a gravel parking lot with electric poles, in back of a motel. No one at the office, fairly expensive--especially for the privilege of parking in the sun on gravel! Yuck!

What campers say
Crystal Park Campground is a no-frills, budget-friendly RV park in a convenient spot for visiting Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse and nearby state parks. Reviewers commonly report clean showers and laundry and functional (though older) hookups, with only a couple washers/dryers. Sites are somewhat close together and sparsely outfitted—large tent/grassy areas exist but have limited picnic tables, grills and fire rings. Self check-in through the adjacent travel center is typical and hosts are generally friendly, though a few guests noted confusing signage, check-in/rate issues or event-related noise. Overall, a practical, well-kept option with modest tradeoffs.
