What campers say
Crawford State Park provides a pleasant small-lake experience with family-friendly features: a maintained beach with an adjacent playground, cabin rentals and generous campsites tucked among trees, and a scenic drive and boat access around the lake. Park staff and camp hosts are frequently described as welcoming, and a seasonal Lake View Cafe operates during lake season on limited days. Practical tradeoffs include occasional high water that can limit swimming, relatively short hiking options, and some reports that the beach bathhouse and shoreline need better cleaning and repair. Entry requires a fee unless you display a park pass.
