📖 About This Campground

Colonia del Rey RV Park has been welcoming RVers to Corpus Christi, Texas since 1973 — and we're still family owned and operated today. Located at 1717 Waldron Rd. in the Flour Bluff community, we sit just 8 miles from the stunning beaches of North Padre Island and Padre Island National Seashore, minutes from NAS Corpus Christi, the USS Lexington Museum, the Texas State Aquarium, and some of the best bay and deep sea fishing on the Gulf Coast. Our premium sites feature concrete pads up to 80 ft., full hookups (30/50 amp), water, sewer, free cable TV, and free WiFi. We also offer private individual restroom and shower suites, a sparkling saltwater pool, on-site laundry, a fenced dog run, fish cleaning station, and LP gas delivery right to your site. But what truly sets Colonia del Rey apart is our community. Season after season, guests come back not just for the warm South Texas weather — they come back for the friends they've made, the activities they look forward to, and the sense of belonging that's been part of this park for over 50 years. From Texas Hold 'Em tournaments and Bingo nights to Potluck dinners, Happy Hours, Jam Sessions, and holiday celebrations — there's always something going on at Colonia del Rey. Proud recipients of the Good Sam Top Rated 2026 rating of 10/10★/9 and the RVLife Best of the Best award two years running — 2025 and 2026. Where RVers Become Family — Since 1973.

Warning - There are power lines running over the park and one of the lines is only 15 ft high. I climbed the roof ladder and had I not taken a look up at the top would have stood up directly into the line. The interference from the power lines has limited Verizon coverage too. Pros - Suburb location across bridge from Padre Island; 3 blocks from supermarket and gas; Excellent laundry facility with clean industrial machines. Cons - Loud neighbors and day time air traffic from NAS; low power lines
