Clear Lake State Park offers a large sandy beach and clear blue water, popular for swimming, kayaking and boating. The park includes disc golf, ATV/ORV trailheads and many hiking/biking paths with boat launches and rentals at the ranger station. The campground has a mix of sites including pull-through spots, a dump station and recycling; many find sites roomy and quiet on one side. Restrooms and showers are generally well maintained, though there are occasional reports of cleanliness lapses. Trails can be overgrown in places and ticks/brush are present, so take basic precautions. Overall a scenic, activity-rich state park with some tradeoffs to consider.
