    As a kid I remember coming here and sleeping in a tent area. It was dirty and cramped. Guess my memory is bad because this place is really nice with our rig. The lake is beautiful for fishing and kayaking. The RV sites are concreted and some are dirt. Lots of open space and grass around. A bit of a party on weekends but nice during the week.

Park Description

Cachuma Lake Recreation Area is located between Santa Barbara California and Solvang California. Set amidst acres of wilderness flanked by the picturesque Santa Ynez and San Rafael Mountains, lies glimmering Cachuma Lake. Here you will find practically everything you need for a relaxing getaway in the great outdoors. Mild temperatures, typically sunny skies, and celebrated fishing conditions make camping here during winter months exceptionally rewarding. Full, partial, and primitive tent and RV camping sites situated near and around the shores of the lake. Reservations can be made online at the Santa Barbara County Parks website.
