Buffalo Bay Campground/Marina offers excellent Lake Superior views and easy access to Bayfield and the Apostle Islands. Tent sites are tucked into the woods and feel separated from the nearby hotel/casino, which also provides clean indoor showers and bathrooms. RV sites offer hookups but are often tight with little privacy. Overall staff are friendly and marina amenities (restaurant, pool/hot tub) are convenient for boaters. Expect minor maintenance issues—tired picnic tables, occasional leftover trash, a washboard access road, and some mosquitoes mitigated by lake breeze. Reports conflict about an on-site RV dump; check ahead for that service.
