What campers say

Boles Field Campground is a basic, low‑cost Forest Service site (roughly $6/night, reduced with a senior/America the Beautiful pass) with water and electrical hookups and a simple restroom/shower building. Visitors like the wooded, quiet setting and regular ranger checks, but there are tradeoffs: sites sit close together on both sides of a county road, some power pedestals are unreliable or heat‑damaged, and showers are often cold or temperamental unless the host adjusts the heater. The entrance can be tricky and muddy after rain, picnic furniture is worn, and cell signal is limited to a few bars.
