Black Hawk State Park is a scenic, well-kept lakeside park with abundant trees, attractive shoreline sites, and clean restroom/shower facilities. Many campers praise friendly hosts and nearby Lake View amenities. Recreational options include fishing, boating (motorboats and jet skis are allowed), swimming and trails (some require driving to access). Expect variability in campsites: some waterfront sites are roomy, while others are small, close together, or uneven/gravel and may be difficult for larger RVs. Many sites offer electricity but on-site water hookups are limited; a dump station exists but can be tight and fills may be unmarked.
