📖 About This Campground

Black Beach Campground in Silver Bay Minnesota is a city owned and developed campground. Opening in 2020 the park has full hookup sites in an open setting. 49-site campground that will have 30-amp electricity throughout all sites and 34 of the sites will also have 50-amp electric service and full water and sewer hookups. Most of the sites will accommodate larger RV’s that have difficulty finding appropriate size sites in other campgrounds along the North Shore of Lake Superior.  There will also be a few pull-through sites.  Rentals will be either nightly or weekly. The main building will house the required lavatories and bathing units.  There will be a playground, a group picnic area, and walking trail in the campground leading to Black Beach. Black Beach is known for the natural sediment transport of past taconite tailings into sand that gives a diamond like sparkle with black hue.
