📖 About This Campground
Big Atlantic Gulch Campground near Atlantic City Wyoming (Lander area) is a BLM managed campground offering 10 primitive tent and RV camping sites in a wooded setting. Reasonable fees sites are all backins. A historically significant location this pass was used by early settlers and later miners to help build the country. Enjoy exploring the region on ATVs or in off-road 4×4 capable vehicles.
Sites have picnic tables and fire rings. pit toilets also available. Water is available.
Mining still takes place in this area. Miner's Delight – Administered by the Bureau of Land Management, this genuine ghost town contains the remains of a gold-mine era stamp mill, cemetery, and other buildings. It's located three miles from Hwy. 28 on the north side of the Fort Stambaugh Loop Road.
