Bear Creek County Park offers clear, refreshing creek water and scenic swimming spots with a mix of shallow and deep areas that many visitors find family-friendly. The day-use area and small campground (about 15 first-come, first-served sites) sit close to the river; a host is present and a modest fee is charged for camping and parking. Amenities include picnic tables, bathrooms, and a pay station, but expect stairs to reach the water and limited parking. Recent wildfire damage has reduced shade and left some sections roped off, and parts of the access road remain gravel. Rocky banks can make tent setup challenging.
