Safe clean park with very spacious sites, close enough to the city, but far enough away if you know what I mean. This is a much better option if you are in town with children, we didn't find downtown to be ideal for kids. It's nice to visit, but the bayou was more education and more our speed. We made wonderful friends at this park who we still keep in touch with. Downtown NOLA is an experience for sure.

Beautiful park like setting. Some spots have wooden deck. Spots difficult to get big 5er into (no pull thru). No sewer hook ups or cable. Usually one would not expect this in a state park, but with it's location almost downtown New Orleans one would expect it. Long drive into rv parking and gates locked at 9 pm with access somewhere else after that. Quiet, dark and very peaceful. Bathrooms not very well maintained and only one washer and two dryers in laundry room. We stayed here with 36ft 5er March 2015.
