We have had some issues in the past with private parks in Grants Pass. This year we decided to stay here to visit family in the area. It is close to the interstate so there is highway noise and the spaces are close together but the scenery is pretty and there is a nice biking trail into town. On top of that at $24 per night for full hookups the price is right too.

Park Description

Valley of the Rogue State Park in Gold Hill Oregon has both a day-use picnic area and an overnight campground along three miles of shoreline on the Rogue River. A meeting hall is available for camping groups. Full, partial and primitive hookup RV and tent camping sites capable of accommodating, in some cases, large RVs (maximum site 75 feet).

This popular campground is located immediately off Interstate 5 (in fact there is a driver rest area just before the entrance). The campsites are located in numerous loops with some containing concentric circles. Decent spacing between sites with paved roads and parking pads. Picnic tables are available at each site and all are surrounded by large green open areas.

The popular multi-sue Rogue Greenway Bike Trail passes right thru the park allowing for excellent opportunities to exercise. A very active and large park ranger and camp host contingent keeps everything within the rules. During peak travel seasons reservations are recommended.

Rates are reasonable for the amenities provided. Cellular service is solid.
