Little Manatee River State Park is one of the prettiest state parks I’ve been to in Florida. Only water and electric hook-ups but a convenient dump station. There are 30 RV sites, 4 equestrain sites with stables, a primitive youth camp, playground, picnic area, group camp area, bike rentals, horse and hiking trails, canoe launch. Each big, wide, wooded site has a table and fire ring. From the entrance to the state park there’s a 2 mile drive to the campground through wooded area where we saw deer and other wildlife. There are ranger led programs and activities. About 40 minutes from Sarasota, it’s not close to shopping but very quiet and relaxing.
