What campers say

Salmon Lake Park offers a relaxed, rustic setting with vintage buildings, antiques and a small museum that create strong photo opportunities and a country atmosphere. Clean, TV-free cabins surround a swimming hole with dock, slide and diving board, and many sites offer 50-amp hookups while others are more primitive—check hookups before unhooking. Visitors praise friendly staff, family-friendly activities and golf cart rentals, but note sand roads and dirt that can bother allergy sufferers. Pond conditions are mixed: enjoyable for many, but some report algae, debris and stagnant areas. A good choice for reunions or rallies.

We stayed at this park for a weekend in September 2015. Park is on 50 acres. Spots are grass and roomy. No laundry (tbh, did not ask). Bathroom/Showers are 'rustic' yet usable. Ice was self serve -honor system which was nice touch. Park borders pasture so cows are sometimes present. Spots were mostly 30 amp and power posts older and could use updating, Wifi was usable. The park was a neat experience. The owner bought a towns worth of old buildings and recreated a old west style town. Some Buildings were available for special events. Treehouses available for rent as well. Park is off the beaten path and worth the stop if you like funky. . The funky of the town and quiet outweighed any negative about up keep. Don't expect the Hilton, expect funky and you'll be fine.
