Zooland Family Campground is a family-focused option valued for its close proximity to the NC Zoo and plentiful kid-friendly amenities — multiple pools, a waterslide (often on limited hours), mini golf, bounce pillow/jump pad, playground, pedal cars, a fishing pond and regular evening activities like bingo and movie nights. Staff are generally described as friendly and the grounds and bathhouses are usually well maintained. Practical tradeoffs: many full-hookup sites are fairly narrow and close together while some water/electric sites offer more space, and a few visitors mentioned occasional pool cleanliness or staffing limitations.
