What campers say

Yavapai Campground is a quiet, forested campground at higher elevation with widely spaced, secluded sites and strong access to nearby trails, Granite Mountain, Granite Basin Lake and Prescott. Sites work well for tents and RVs, though tent pads can be modest and narrow one‑way roads and tight turns may challenge very large rigs. Facilities are basic but well kept—composting toilets, potable water and on‑site trash—with volunteer stewards who keep the area clean. Night skies are excellent. Expect warm summer days despite cool mornings and plan for shade or a fan; pets are commonly kept leashed.
