Wooded Acre Campground is an older, quiet park beside the North Coast Inland Trail that many visitors find peaceful and convenient for bicycle touring. New ownership has been improving the grounds and programming—guests note a swim-ready pond, covered pavilion, community events (movies, cornhole) and generally friendly staff at affordable rates. Practical tradeoffs remain: hookups are limited (fewer 30A outlets), tent sites rely on porta-potties, there’s no septic hookup on most sites (honey-wagon service and a dump station are available), and some infrastructure repairs are ongoing. It’s a good fit for cyclists and low-amenity campers who prioritize location and community.
